Testing Power over Ethernet (PoE) explained in Cabling Installation & Maintenance magazine
Power over Ethernet (PoE) brings new capabilities to a standard data cable, but users need to know how PoE affects certification. Recertifying PoE systems requires new test procedures. "With relatively simple modifications, installers can test and certify powered cabling systems," said Steve O'Hara, author of Fluke Networks' article on Power over Ethernet (PoE) testing.

DTX CableAnalyzer™ wins Good Design Award
Fluke Networks’ DTX CableAnalyzer cable tester has been named winner of a Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. DTX was one of the products recognized for “advancing new and innovative product concepts and originality and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered standard product and consumer design.”

DTX Series CableAnalyzer™ is the first cable tester to receive UL Accuracy Classification
Fluke Networks' DTX was awarded the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) Classification in accordance with the IEC- 61935-1 specifications for Accuracy Level IV and in accordance with the TIA-TSB-155 specifications for Accuracy Level IIIe. Accuracy Level IIIe will be required to test Cat 6 cabling for 10 Gigabit Ethernet deployments.
